Our Team
Chef Brian K. Fowler
Chef and founder of Fowler and Co. Catering, chef Brian K. Fowler is an honors graduate from
the New York Restaurant School in Manhattan and was in the top five percent of his class.
His love for food and cooking started at the age of four when he was by his mothers side at the stove.
Making food as a gift came easy and he offered many baked goods to family and friends throughout the holidays. In fourth grade he brought home-made pretzels to class as his "class project." In high school he went on to a two year program with B.O.C.E.S. at the Joseph A. Barry Technical center in Westbury Long Island, and after graduation
went on to different venues in the food industry.
During his schooling at the N.Y.R.S. he was given a chance to extern at Larry Forgione's An American Place restaurant and was offered a position that started with pastry assistant. Making his way around the kitchen before returning to Long Island, he added a lot of value to his craft. During is employ at A.A.P. he got to work with great chefs Wolfgang Puck, Paul Prudhomme, Alice Waters and Mark Miller.
He went on to the Garden City Hotel and the Carltun in East Meadow N.Y. He was also Sous Chef at both Bedlam Street Fish & Clam Co. in Cold Spring Harbor and Gebhardts in Floral Park.
Deciding it was time to try more new things he left the restaurant industry to pursue private catering as well as taking a position as a Culinary Instructor at the Viking Cooking School in Garden City N.Y. He has been teaching there for
the last three years.
Chef Fowler' focus on food is rooted in French classical but shines through with a modern creative American flare.
His playful nature comes full circle because even as a child he like to play with his food.
Kelly A. Fowler
One of the most important assets to Fowler and Co. Catering, Kelly wears many hats. She serves as sous chef, company photographer as well as coordinating events, menu planning and acts as the vital right hand to the chef. Her eye for detail both in front and behind the camera lens is a crucial part of the success of our company. Her formal culinary training started at an early age as well and attended the Culinary School of mom. Later on she too became a mom and added to her skills by being able to organize larger family functions and offer great home cooking to many. This is key when being asked to host many family holiday events and kids parties. With the combined efforts and skill we share it is no wonder that Fowler and Co. Catering is the right choice when it comes to planning a party.
Whether it's a casual dinner party or a cooking class in your kitchen be assured that we will do everything possible
to make sure you and your guests are talking about it for months to come.
